Community award to our principal cornet player, Lauren Hawkins.

Congratulations to our principal cornet player Lauren Hawkins who received an award from Pickering Town Council for community volunteer of the year. Lauren spends lots of hours behind the scenes as the bands chairperson and teaching children to play a brass instrument. As well as being a committed member of the band Lauren also gives her time to play the last post at several local remembrance services and has done so for many years. She is a great asset to Stape Silver Band and also the community of Pickering. Well done Lauren
