Smiddy Hill Concert Cancelled

posted May 31, 2014, 10:16 AM by Brian Anderson

Despite hoping for good weather for our first outdoor concert of the year, the typical British summer weather provided no surprises as our Smiddy Hill concert was rained off.

We will be playing on Smiddy Hill on two occasions later on in the year, and hope for better weather!

For upcoming events see here.

We are hoping to attract plenty of visitors; it is a chance to sit on the benches around and listen to our band play a mixture of traditional marches, film music and arrangements of popular and classical music.  There will be some duets by some of our younger cornet players and our euphonium section. The concert starts at 2.30 and finishes about 4p.m  with a chance for a drink in the interval.
