SPRING CONCERT

Friday April 5th

The annual spring concert was again held in the Memorial Hall.

The band began the evening with the Thunderbird's theme  followed by A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman. Hakuna Matata from The Lion King & Alan Fernie's arrangement of Ticket To Ride complete with steam train effects followed. To end the first set we did our Queen tribute with Bohemian Rhapsody & The Show Must Go On.

We were treated to some fine playing by the youngsters from Pickering Junior School before the training band brought the fist half to a close.After tea & cakes everyone again joined together in Pastime With Good Company followed by the theme to Jurassic Park. The concert finale was Football Crazy.

2021

The band returned to the bandroom in May 2021 after the covid restrictions were finally lifted to allow a socially distanced rehearsal.

​

LEVISHAM OPEN AIR SERVICE

Sunday 16th July saw the band undertake it's first engagement of the year at Levisham open air service.It was a very hot day and the jam & cream scones & cups of tea were very welcome.

​

FILEY BANDSTAND

On Sunday August 8th the band were playing in the bandstand at Filey.It was good to be performing for a live audience once more.

​

​

PEASHOME BANDSTAND

Our final engagement  of our reduced summer program was at Scarborough's Peasholm Park on Sunday September 12th.

PEASHOLM BANDSTAND

Our final engagement  of our reduced summer program was at Scarborough's Peasholm Park on Sunday September 12th. There was a reasonably good size audience, although the weather was not too brilliant.

​

PICKERING CONCERT

Not having played in Pickering for some time it was decided to perform a pop up concert on what would have been War Weekend (9th October). A very appreciative audience gathered around us as we played some of our summer program along with a few tunes of yesteryear at the bottom of the Market Place.

​

REMEMBRANCE PARADE

Once again the band was in action for Pickering's Remembrance Day on Sunday 14th November. There seemed to be a very large turnout this year after last year's cancellation.

​

​

PICKERING LIGHT SWITCH ON

On Saturday 27th November the Christmas lights were switched on followed by music provided by the band.

​
